Timeline Controls

While your print publication may be weekly, monthly, or some other irregular frequency, your Web site may feature any entirely different frequency.

This approach is allowed by Linear's unique use of durations for editorial. You can one piece of editorial run for 2 days and another run for 2 years. So, if you added three (3) new editorial items each day - each with a dustation of three (3) days, your daily Web site colud always show 9 pieces of editorial. Each day the three (3) oldest would fall off and the three (3) new items would join the other current items.

This is an especially useful tool for columns and noted content which may not appear in every print issue, but could appear current on the Web site.

When editorial is added to the system, Linear will automatically calculate the dates based on your preferences, but you can return and edit an items duration at anytime.

Easy controls allow you to view editorial items in a "timeline" format where items can be extended for future issues.

quotes
SMDP"After years of subpar online publishing services, we discovered the answer to everything we were looking for in Linear Publishing. Linear is so easy to use and so quick to respond that our site was up in no time. Their online manual is invaluable but their staff is also extremely responsive. They have so many features that we may never use but they are there if and when we want to use them. Most recently, we created our mobile site. Within an hour it was up and running. Linear far exceeds their competition and our expectations."
